American Conservatory Theater is an excellent place to work. High caliber productions, excellent pay, and (in my experience) lovely working conditions.
My rehearsl and performance process was supportive and professional to the Nth degree. I would absolutely work there again if given the chance and would encourage any theatermaker to do the same. Incredible facilities, encouraging and rigorous professionals in the room, and pretty much everything I strive to see in a theater.
Pay is typically LORT B+ ($1,151 weekly). Perhaps the highest paying contract in the Bay Area. And in recent years they have been much more committed to hiring local talent.
