Back of House is a workplace review site for performing arts professionals, students, and amateurs to share their experiences. It was created in 2023 with the mission to:

• Increase transparency and communication within the performing arts community without fear of retribution or blacklisting
• Help theater owners get valuable feedback and build better cultures
• Improve the performing arts for everyone, professionals and amateurs

While other workplace review sites exist, Back of House is uniquely focused on all aspects of the performance community, including volunteer / amateur theaters and MFA/BFA programs. We eventually plan to expand to film production and other forms of artistic expression.

With over 14,000 theaters, touring companies, universities, and theme parks, Back of House has created one of the most complete databases of professional and non-professional performing groups in the United States.
