I was pleasantly surprised doing shows here. I had heard thing over the years about how intense the director could be or how toxic the environment is. That was not my experience.
I have a very no BS personality as the director seems to have. Her humor may rub some people the wrong way as its a dry sarcastic humor. But, I feel like as long as you are able to let those things run off your back you should have no problem here.
The audition process is short and sweet. Go in, sing, possibly get an offer. Plus, you only have to do this once for what seems, ever.
The rehearsal schedule was completely done and broken down before rehearsals started. It is a short rehearsal process however with no real designated time to be off book other than tech week. As its a professional space, it is expected for the actors to work on their material in their own time after learning it. The rehearsal reports after each rehearsal were nice though to have a feel of how the show is going. If you have a conflict as ensemble of a show on a night that something of yours is being blocked, expect to not be in that number as there just isn’t time to fit you in somehow. Definitely doing shows here again.
