Shotgun Players is a great place to work as an actor. I’m often excited by their shows and have enjoyed the rehearsal processes in which I’ve taken part. Backstage is nice and in my experience this is a company that prizes feedback and improvements from the large-scale to the granular.
Worth noting that Shotgun is currently on the Actor’s Equity do not work list. I’m a bit confused as to why Shotgun is on this list, whereas other theaters (that have not been nearly as supportive to actors as Shotgun has been to me) have not been reprimanded in such a way. I really hope they can work things out with AEA. They’ve managed quite well in finding incredible non-AEA actors, but this is such a great theater that I don’t want folks to miss out on working there (or working there again) by joining AEA.

Pay is Berkeley minimum wage.
